Reviews

Amazing location with stunning views over the adjoining fields. The house is located just over a 5-minute walk to the village square where there are shops, cafes and pubs. The facilities were good, and the house was spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms were large enough. There so much parking. The garden was fabulous and so peaceful, the children loved running around and playing in the sun.

As usual we all had a wonderful week in Corfe.Fulbeck is a great place to stay in every possible way. Very well appointed, comfortable, convenient, nice garden, lovely surroundings. Our friend who stayed in riddles were equally happy in Riddles and with it’s proximity to Fulbeck. I think the fact we return year after year proves how satisfied we are with the excellent service we receive from Corfe and Purbeck holidays.

We were lucky to spend such an enjoyable week in Fulbeck Cottage at the end of July 2023. This delightful property easily met our expectations in terms of location, cleanliness and the facilities provided. It was an ideal base from which to explore the Isle of Purbeck. It lay just off the far end of a quiet, picturesque cul-de-sac street winding its way from the village square. Turning right from the cottage we could stroll down to the historic village to shop, eat and visit the attractions. Turning left from the cottage we were soon able to follow the many footpaths criss-crossing the common and its surrounding countryside. The cottage had ample parking and was surrounded by a well-tended garden offering the evening scent of jasmine and roses and a place from which to gaze on the surrounding downs and castle and hear the whistle of the steam train across the valley. The interior was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard throughout but, nevertheless, felt welcoming and provided a comfortable retreat in which to relax after a satisfying day. Families would find the provision of two upstairs bathrooms with WC and a downstairs WC particularly useful. They would also appreciate the plentiful kitchen utensils and tableware, quality kitchen appliances and the generous provision of books, games and jigsaws for those wetter days. The staff at Corfe and Purbeck Holidays were always cheerful and helpful and we felt that we could have contacted them without hesitation if we had needed to. As autumn approaches, we are still reliving our holiday and have many happy memories. When visiting the area again we would have Fulbeck Cottage as our accommodation of choice, as it was exactly what we were looking for as a place to stay in the beautiful village of Corfe Castle.

Thank you very much for our week’s stay at the cottage. Parking, surroundings and house all very lovely, enough space for everyone to come and go or get together. The conservatory was perfect for one of our group who had to work (tho we may have made faces through the window). We also met the gardener who gave us some potatoes, which was a bonus, and a visiting woodpecker too. Lovely , lovely , lovely!

Love this house. Every comfy. My brothers been renting here 2 times yearly for 15 years. Also very quiet as is set back from the road.

We stayed at Fulbeck Cottage in October 2021 and just as previous stays at this property over the past 15 years, really enjoyable, peaceful location with all the home comforts you would require. Would highly recommend.

What an incredibly beautiful house. Set in a really lovely garden with all round marvelous views, and so very peaceful. The house itself is really well equipped and maintained to a very high standard in all respects. There is absolutely nothing that can be faulted. We have stayed there many times over the last ten years or so, and always look forward to returning. A truly wonderful find.

The house is a lovely size, very spacious, warm and welcoming. It was clean and extremely well appointed, with a lovely sitting room, wonderful conservatory, fantastic garden and the parking area was large, making parking easy to manage.

We very much enjoyed being back in Fulbeck, as always Fulbeck was lovely. Spotlessly clean and so well equipped. We hope to return next year.
