This detached Purbeck Stone bungalow, has recently been updated, and for 2022 will have a new orangery, providing a delightful dining area, with relaxing sofas in front of a log burner (photos to be added). Far End has a beautiful large garden and is situated in a quiet lane within walking distance of Corfe Castle and the beautiful village square.
You enter at the side of the property into a utility area, which has a washing machine, sink and ample storage for those sandy shoes. From here a door leads into the beautiful orangery which provides a wonderful large dining area, with a table and seating for 8. There is comfortable seating around a stunning log burner and large doors providing unrestricted views over the wonderful large garden.
From the utility area there is a door into the kitchen or into the master bedroom and shower room. This shower room can be accessed via the bedroom or hallway.
The kitchen has a range of appliances, including a fridge, freezer, integrated oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave and offers beautiful views over the garden. There is a table and chairs, to enjoy breakfast whilst deciding what is planned for the day.
From the kitchen, is a door which leads into a large sitting room with seating for the whole family to watch TV or play a game, after enjoying a day out exploring all this stunning area has to offer. From the sitting area, there are two steps up to a useful area with a table and chairs, providing a workspace. The sitting room has large sliding doors which open out to the patio and large garden.
The bedrooms comprise of a master bedroom, which has a super king size bed, a newly fitted en suite shower room, with a large walk-in shower cubicle, WC and hand basin. From the kitchen hallway, there is a step up to two of the the bedrooms and shower room. A spacious king size bedroom, and a pleasant twin bedroom all overlooking the front garden and a pretty single bedroom overlooking the rear garden. There is a 2nd shower room, with shower, WC and wash basin.
The wonderful large garden can be accessed from the sitting room and orangery. The patio has a large table and chairs, providing the perfect spot for some alfresco dining, while looking at the Purbeck hills in the distance. There is a large lawn area and towards the end of the garden is a selection of fruit trees.
The property benefits from parking on the driveway for 2-3 cars.
Far End is situated in a peaceful location, at the end of an unmade lane off East Street. It is approximately 15 minutes’ walk to the steam railway and village square for the morning paper and stop at the bakery for fresh bread. Corfe Common is minutes away and offers a quicker and more scenic walk to the village square, with access to the start of some of the most scenic walks along the South West Coastal Path.

Far End was absolutely perfect for our holiday, and the garden was very secure for the dogs. The surrounding area makes the location perfect for a family holiday, with some absolutely magical scenery, we especially enjoyed the walk from Swanage to Durlston Country Park. Tracy and Danielle were absolute stars as they were always helpful and provided information on the walks from the doorstep of Far End. We hope to stay again.
We stayed at Far End for a glorious week in September 2021 and had a wonderful time. The house could not have been more comfortable, light, spacious, well equipped. The beds were astonishingly comfy, and the garden a lovely space to sit in and enjoy the sunshine. The position is peaceful and convenient, and a short walk to Corfe Common, which is a good link to the town and beyond, as well as being a fascinating and beautiful place. We hope to come again and to stay at this superb house.
The property was very clean, and everything we needed was there for our use. The kitchen was especially well stocked. The garden was much appreciated, especially as we had some sunny days. Plenty of colour from bulbs while we were there. The excellent electric awning was especially useful, as the lounge got quite warm some days. Far End had a really homely feel, with plenty of places to sit and spread out, and an open plan with raised dining area that was really helpful. Internet connection was excellent, and I was able to attend Zoom classes and a MS Teams meeting while there. Thank you for the excellent service, and we will be recommending Corfe & Purbeck Holidays to our friends and neighbours!
