Poole and Bournemouth

Poole is home to a stunning natural harbour with a bustling Quay offering a wide range of shops, public houses, and restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the views. From the Quay you can take a boat trip to Brownsea Island and Bournemouth. Poole Quay holds a range of events throughout the year including Bike Night on a Tuesday and stunning fireworks displays throughout the summer amongst many other events. For shopping, the Dolphin Shopping Centre offers a wide range of high street shops and Poole Park has a selection of activities for all ages, including an indoor soft play area and ice skating and at the water sports centre you can try sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and much more. You can travel to Poole by car, bus or by train from Wareham.

Bournemouth has an award winning, seven miles of golden sandy beach and offers a great day out. In 2018 Bournemouth beach was awarded the best beach in the UK and fifth best in Europe in TripAdvisor’s annual Traveller’s Choice awards. The town centre is well known for its wide variety of shops including a choice of department stores and independent boutiques.There is an excellent selection of restaurants, coffee shops and public houses.Within a 5 minute walk from the shops, pier and beaches are the Lower Gardens which provide a relaxing place to visit, sit and unwind.You can sit and listen to music playing from the Bandstand, play a round of crazy golf or visit the aviary and art exhibition.Nearby there is the Bournemouth International Centre and Pavilion both offering a superb choice of shows throughout the year.Bournemouth also hosts an Air Festival that takes place at the end of August.
