If it is a relaxing break, an adventure holiday or a celebration for the whole family, a self-catering holiday cottage in the beautiful Isle of Purbeck is the ideal way to explore this stunning area. We offer a range of properties to suit all age groups, budgets and tastes. Our cottages are comfortably furnished and fully equipped for the perfect self-catering holiday.
Changeover days are generally Fridays and Saturdays and standard bookings are for 7 or 14 nights. We can accept short breaks during low season and when we have availability close to the arrival date.
Directions to your cottage are contained in your confirmation email. You will receive a separate confirmation with the details for the key safe. Generally the arrival time is 3.30pm and departure time is 10am.
Bed Linen & Towels
Bed linen and towels will be provided in all of our cottages and are included in the cottage rental price.
Gas & Electricity
The cost of gas & electricity is included in the price of your holiday rental.
The arrangements for heating each cottage are shown in the property description and on the Availability of Extras Page. Most cottages are centrally heated and some have Night Storage Heating. This is included in the price.
Most of our cottages have free Wi-Fi, please check the Availability of Extras chart.
Telephones are provided in some of our cottages. Mobile phone reception is now generally good in the area, but there are still some areas with limited or no reception.
Cots and High Chairs
Cots and high chairs are available on request, at no extra charge. Our cots are folding travel cots, suitable for children up to 24 months. Please bring your own bedding for the cot. The high chair may or may not have a safety harness. We can provide a stair gate upon request.
Well behaved dogs are accepted at some cottages. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture and are not allowed to be left alone in a property. Please bring your own pet bedding. There is an additional charge of £25.00 per dog.
Most of our cottages are “listed” as being of historic or architectural interest. For this and other reasons none of them have been specifically adapted for use by disabled persons, but the descriptions of the cottages have been written so that we hope they give an indication as to what disabilities are compatible with the occupancy of each cottage. We can offer a shower stool and raised toilet seat on request at no extra charge. The shower stool is not suitable for use in a bath with overhead shower. We can provide an Access Statement if requested. If in any doubt or if you have any specific requirements please phone and we will do our best to answer any questions to ensure you do not book a property which is unsuitable. We cannot be held responsible should a property be booked, that is unsuitable or inappropriate.
All our cottages are cleaned thoroughly between bookings. Please leave the cottage tidy on your departure and if you move any furniture during your stay, please return it to its original position.
Smoking is not permitted in the properties.
Changes to your Booking
If you wish to change your booking at any time, we require confirmation in writing.
Breakage Security Deposit
The breakage security payment can be paid by sending a cheque for £200.00, made payable to Corfe & Purbeck Holidays along with your balance payment. Alternatively, once you call to make the final payment, we can hold your payment card details securely on file. The cheque or card details would be destroyed once you have vacated the cottage and it has been left clean and tidy, with no breakages.
If you make the final payment by bank transfer, you can either pay the additional £200.00 breakage security payment, which will be refunded to you once you have vacated the cottage and it has been left clean and tidy, with no breakages or you can telephone 01929 480050 with your credit/debit card, which will be destroyed once you have vacated the cottage and it has been left clean and tidy, with no breakages.
We do not arrange holiday cancellation insurance, but you may wish to take out your own insurance. We can provide details of Companies offering Holiday Insurance.
If you have any safety concerns in your cottage or in the garden, during your stay, please contact our office or the 24 hours emergency contact number immediately.
Gas boilers have been installed and are maintained by a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. There will be a copy of the Gas Safe certificate in the property, but if it is missing we will have a copy in the office. We can provide you with a copy on request. If you have any concerns about the safety or efficiency of the gas appliances, please alert us immediately on 01929 480050 or by calling the Emergency Contact Number.
All the electrical appliances are routinely tested. If you have any concerns about the safety of any appliances, please do not use them and contact us immediately.
Please ensure the key safe is not left unlocked whilst the key is inside and the key safe should not be left displaying the number at any time. Please keep the key safe combination code secure.
Please ensure all doors and windows are secured when the cottage is left unoccupied and at the end of your stay.
Some older cottages have character features including low ceilings, beams and steep stairs. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access. Please telephone if you require any further information. The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property.
