The latest information regarding opening our holiday accommodation

Current Guidelines

The world has suddenly changed in light of the Coronavirus, which has significantly impacted us all, and we all find ourselves in difficult and unprecedented times.

The UK recently eased some of the lockdown restrictions, but currently holidays are not permitted under the new guidance. We can travel to any destination in England, within a reasonable distance, including parks and beaches, but the government have said that staying overnight at a location other than the place you live, for a holiday or other purpose, is not allowed, therefore, self-catering holiday cottages need to remain closed.

We are hopeful that our properties will re-open soon, but following government guidelines, it is not expected to be earlier than 4th July 2020.

Reopening

We look forward to being able to welcome guests as soon as self-catering cottages can re-open. Our delightful selection of properties located in Corfe, Langton Matravers, Worth Matravers, Kingston and Church Knowle offer the perfect destination after lockdown. With outstanding scenery, beautiful surroundings, and huge open spaces you will be able to maintain a good distance from others and have an abundance of fresh air, it offers the perfect location to get away.

A UK staycation offers the perfect opportunity to have a holiday once travel restrictions are eased, but we recognise the situation is causing a lot of uncertainty and whilst nobody knows when the situation will improve, we want to offer reassurance when booking your next holiday, so we have introduced our Book with Confidence, Coronavirus Guarantee.

If you make a new booking with us and for any of the following reasons you are unable to continue with your booking:

  • Travel restrictions in place by UK Government for the date of your holiday
  • You are unable to travel due to being ill with Coronavirus

We will guarantee to:

  • Transfer your holiday to new dates in 2020 or 2021, with no amendment of booking fee
  • We can postpone your booking and move to a new date once you have confirmed your preferred dates
  • Cancel your booking and provide a full refund

If there is a price increase for your new date, we will advise you of the change and that additional rental amount will be payable.

Your Holiday

In time for re-opening, we will have our Visitor’s Welcome Information available online. As well as being more hygienic, this will provide you with the opportunity to plan ahead for your holiday. This information pack will be emailed to you prior to your arrival.

Restaurants, bars and cafes currently remain closed, as are many shops, except essential ones allowed to be open. Depending how the restrictions are eased in the short term, many local restaurants and pubs are open for take-aways and deliveries. Many independent shops are also offering local delivery services. We hope to see shops, cafes, pubs and local attractions opening around the same time as self-catering accommodation.

Many of the local beaches and beauty spots are opening and we would hope the majority will be allowed to open at the same time as self-catering accommodation in our properties.

Cleaning Regime

For your peace of mind, and considering Coronavirus, we have added to our already extensive cleaning routine for every changeover.

It is now more important than ever to maintain high standards of cleanliness and we want to reassure our guests that our properties will be cleaned to the highest standard.

We are double cleaning all areas on changeovers, this includes cleaning areas from dirt and grease with hot water and detergent and then thoroughly disinfecting/sanitising all areas.

Additional time will be spent on all high traffic areas, (kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms) and frequently used items (handles, switches, remote controls, keys, etc). Disposable cloths and paper towels will be used for cleaning and reusable cloths will be washed after use. Kitchen brushes will be disinfected and regularly replaced and there will be a supply of disinfecting and cleaning products available.

For reassurance, we can provide a copy of our Changeover Checklist which also itemises all areas which will have been thoroughly sanitised.
