It is within easy reach of Corfe Castle, Studland and Swanage Bay and some of the most beautiful scenery this wonderful part of Dorset has to offer, ideal for walking, cycling or driving.
When you step inside the entrance area of this welcoming cottage you will find doors leading to a useful ground floor shower room with washbasin and WC, plus a door leading in to a substantial farmhouse style kitchen/diner, with a family sitting area, which has a feature Purbeck stone wall and large windows overlooking the pretty garden. The kitchen is well equipped, with everything you will need for a self catering holiday, with a beautiful electric Aga, microwave, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/tumble dryer. There is a large central dining table with seating for 8, perfect for a family feast. Adjacent to the dining area, is an open plan sitting area with a comfortable sofa, TV, and a selection of games/puzzles. This open plan living area provides the perfect place for the family to get together. From the dining area there is a door leading out to the beautiful garden.
Continuing through the kitchen, there is a delightful lounge, with beautiful beams and a stunning fireplace with a wood burning stove, providing a perfect space for relaxing on the comfortable sofas, after a busy day discovering this all this wonderful location has to offer. Natural stone, oak flooring and beams enhance the warm and harmonious design of the cottage throughout.
From the lounge there are stairs leading up to four charming bedrooms and the family bathroom. To your right there is a beautiful master bedroom with a kingsize bed which offers lovely views over the garden. There are three further bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed, the second with twin beds and the third a small single bedroom. There are some sloping ceilings in the bedrooms, but plenty of standing room, and built in cupboards throughout.
The newly fitted family bathroom has a bath, with handheld shower, wash basin and WC.
The exceptional enclosed garden provides ample space to peacefully sit and relax, whilst the children play, and dogs bask in the sun. There is outside furniture for you to enjoy al fresco dining in the garden.
There is no dedicated parking for Knowle Cottage but there is free parking located directly outside the front of the cottage. There is full internet/wifi access.
Knowle Cottage is a beautiful property, in an idyllic setting, which provides a perfect holiday home for couples and families to relax and explore this peaceful and picturesque destination. There are many fantastic walking routes straight from the front door. Just a short walk from the cottage there is a footpath to Corfe Castle, you can either go up to the Purbeck ridge, which provides a stunning walk with sea views, or on to the lower ridge path, these will take approximately 20 minutes.
The traditional village pub is a few minutes stroll away, the local Farm Shop at Norden Farm is a 5 minute drive away and there is a delightful tea rooms in East Creech, 5 minutes’ drive (30 minute walk) from Knowle Cottage.
There are many other attractions close by, including Kimmeridge bay perfect to explore and spend time rock pooling, looking for fascinating creatures; Studland ideal for relaxing on the fantastic sandy beaches, and Swanage where you can enjoy a bite to eat, and amble around the shops and amusements.
