Far End is situated in a quiet lane within walking distance of Corfe Castle and the iconic village square.

New for 2022 - the newly built orangery which provides a light, spacious sitting room, and dining area, providing a perfect space for relaxing whilst overlooking the beautiful large garden.

On entering through the door at the side of the bungalow, you will find a useful utility area, which has a washing machine, sink and ample storage for those sandy shoes. From here a door leads into the beautiful new orangery which has a wonderful large hand crafted dining table, with ample seating for the whole family to enjoy meals together, beyond the dining area in the Orangery, there is a corner sofa, providing a comfy space to relax and enjoy the unrestricted views over the beautiful large garden. The orangery has large doors opening out onto the garden.

From the utility area there are doors into the kitchen, and into the master bedroom and shower room. This shower room can be accessed via the bedroom or hallway.

The kitchen has a range of appliances, including a fridge, freezer, integrated oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave, with an open window into the orangery. There is a dining table and chairs, to enjoy breakfast whilst deciding what is planned for the day.

From the kitchen, is a door which leads into a large sitting room with seating for the whole family to watch TV or play a game, after enjoying a day out exploring all this stunning area has to offer. From the sitting area, there are two steps up to a useful area with a table and chairs, providing a workspace. The sitting room has large sliding doors which open out to the patio and large garden.

The bedrooms comprise of a master bedroom, which has a super king size bed, a newly fitted en suite shower room, with a large walk-in shower cubicle, WC and hand basin, which is accessed off the utility area. The other three bedrooms are accessed from the inner hallway, before the sitting room. These rooms include, a spacious bedroom with a super king bed, a pleasant twin bedroom, both overlooking the front garden and a single bedroom overlooking the rear garden. There is a 2nd shower room, with shower, WC and wash basin.

The wonderful large garden can be accessed from the sitting room and orangery. The patio has a large table and chairs, providing the perfect spot for some alfresco dining, while looking at the Purbeck hills in the distance. There is a large lawn area and towards the end of the garden is a selection of fruit trees.

The property benefits from parking on the driveway for 2-3 cars.

Far End is situated in a peaceful location, at the end of an unmade lane off East Street. It is approximately 15 minutes’ walk to the steam railway and village square for the morning paper and stop at the bakery for fresh bread. Corfe Common is minutes away and offers a quicker and more scenic walk to the village square, with access to the start of some of the most scenic walks along the South West Coastal Path.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Far End and would have no hesitation in recommending Corfe and Purbeck Holiday Cottages. The ladies in the office are always friendly and helpful if you have any requests before, or problems during, your stay. The new extension is lovely, light and airy. For a large party, or a family with children, it is ideal. The small dining area in the lounge is very cramped for even four people and, because of the two steps up to this area from the lounge, it is quite hazardous if you forget they are there and move your chair back. The lounge area itself is very relaxing. The beds and bedrooms are very comfortable, and the area where the bungalow is situated is so peaceful it guarantees a good night’s sleep. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The shower rooms are clean and modern, but again, be aware of a step in one! Altogether a lovely bungalow in a beautiful setting.

Far End was absolutely perfect for our holiday, and the garden was very secure for the dogs. The surrounding area makes the location perfect for a family holiday, with some absolutely magical scenery, we especially enjoyed the walk from Swanage to Durlston Country Park. Tracy and Danielle were absolute stars as they were always helpful and provided information on the walks from the doorstep of Far End. We hope to stay again.

We stayed at Far End for a glorious week in September 2021 and had a wonderful time. The house could not have been more comfortable, light, spacious, well equipped. The beds were astonishingly comfy, and the garden a lovely space to sit in and enjoy the sunshine. The position is peaceful and convenient, and a short walk to Corfe Common, which is a good link to the town and beyond, as well as being a fascinating and beautiful place. We hope to come again and to stay at this superb house.

The property was very clean, and everything we needed was there for our use. The kitchen was especially well stocked. The garden was much appreciated, especially as we had some sunny days. Plenty of colour from bulbs while we were there. The excellent electric awning was especially useful, as the lounge got quite warm some days. Far End had a really homely feel, with plenty of places to sit and spread out, and an open plan with raised dining area that was really helpful. Internet connection was excellent, and I was able to attend Zoom classes and a MS Teams meeting while there. Thank you for the excellent service, and we will be recommending Corfe & Purbeck Holidays to our friends and neighbours!

A lovely bungalow and location. We’d be happy to book it again if it’s available.
