Last updated: January 2021
Following the announcement from the government we are unable to accept bookings for holidays until February 19th 2021. We are still accepting bookings from that date onward, and until we have a confirmed date when travel can recommence, we are offering flexibility and reassurance with our Booking Guarantee.
If you have any concerns about your upcoming booking, please email us and we will respond as promptly as possible. Please email us to advise if you would like to reschedule your booking or cancel with a refund.
We appreciate your patience during these difficult times.
Government regulations and advice is constantly under review and alert levels are subject to change. We ask guests to check the latest government information themselves to understand the new rules, prior to making a new booking, continuing with an existing booking, or considering a date change or cancellation of an existing booking.
We are able to accept new bookings which comply with the latest government guidelines. Please ensure your booking complies with current guidelines.
It is important that we follow the government advice, therefore, please check the information provided by the government, in order that we can all be compliant with the latest regulations.
We would like to keep things as normal as possible, but in an attempt to keep you safe and comply with government guidance, we have implemented a few changes which we would like to bring to your attention.
We have not altered our arrival and departure times and will be trialing this over the first few weeks of re-opening, but it may be necessary to alter the times for the larger properties. We have always tried to offer some flexibility with arrival times, but due to the current situation and additional time required for cleaning, we would ask you not to arrive before 3.30pm.
If you have symptoms of Covid-19 (a high temperature, a new continuous cough, a loss of smell or taste) or you have been in contact with someone who has these symptoms, the advice is for you to stay home and advise us by email.
Your holiday property will have been cleaned and disinfected in compliance with recommended government guidelines, ready for your arrival, using products effective against Covid-19, tested to BS EN 14476, 1276 & 13697. A risk assessment has been carried out for the properties and housekeepers will follow a checklist for each changeover clean.
In the property, there will be our usual supply of bedding, bed linen, towels & cleaning products for your use. If you feel more comfortable using any of your own items, we suggest you bring them with you.
There will be a supply of washing up liquid, a general disinfectant and the usual supply of toilet rolls, paper towels and tea towels. There will be hand soap available in all the properties, but not hand sanitiser, so we suggest you bring your own. These items will be new, disinfected and rotated accordingly. Alternatively, you may choose to bring your own cleaning essentials and for your own peace of mind, you may feel more secure, if you give all items which you will be using, an additional clean and disinfect, prior to using them.
We have removed some of the non-essential items from the properties, to reduce the ‘touched’ surfaces. Since it is not possible to disinfect every book, game or DVD, we have either left a reduced supply, which will be rotated each week, or there will be an isolation crate, where any items which have been used, should be placed and these items will be quarantined after each changeover clean and returned when safe to do so.
We would ask you to leave the property at 10am, to enable the housekeeper to start cleaning promptly. If you leave earlier, please advise us so we can arrange for the property to be cleaned. If you leave due to concerns you are feeling unwell, please advise us as soon as possible. To allow fresh air to circulate, please open windows whilst you are getting ready to leave.
Bed Linen / Towels
In order to reduce cross contamination, we ask that at the end of your stay, you strip the duvet cover, pillowcases and sheets from your bed and place them in the white bags provided. We also ask you to place your towels, tea towels and oven gloves in a separate white bag. The housekeeper will strip pillow protectors and mattress protectors / duvets and they will be washed, steamed, or disinfected and rotated.
We are asking you to load the dishwasher prior to your departure and put it on a full cycle, with as many of the plates, dishes, bowls, glasses, mugs, cutlery & utensils as will fit safely. The housekeeper will unload the dishwasher, as one of the last cleaning tasks which is carried out. For your own peace of mind, we will leave additional dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid for guests who choose to wash all the kitchen items on their arrival.
Rubbish & Recycling
Please put all rubbish in bin bags and tie up. Please place rubbish in the bins outside the property.
To reduce the transmission of Coronavirus
To reduce your chance of catching or spreading the new coronavirus, the guidance is to wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water, for at least 20 seconds and regularly clean and disinfect common surfaces and objects every day.
If there is anything we can provide to help you feel more secure for your arrival, please let us know.
We recognise the current situation is still causing a lot of uncertainty and we are looking forward to socialising and having a holiday, but nobody knows how this situation will continue to change and how it will affect everybody.
We want to offer reassurance when booking your next holiday, so we have created our Book with Confidence Coronavirus Guarantee, for more information visit our Booking conditions page. If you make a booking with us and you are unable to continue with your booking, due to travel restrictions, we will guarantee to defer your booking or provide a refund. Book now, holiday later!
Stay Safe and we look forward to seeing you soon.
